Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Tops Wheeling 2-0

Wheeling,WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan College Men's Soccer team would take on Wheeling University in the Bobcats second conference game of the year. The Bobcats are coming into the game 1-0 in conference play opposed to the Cardinals which would be their first conference game. 

In the 23rd minute of play the Bobcats would have an opportunity to capitalize as Luca Falconeri would line up for a penalty kick. Falconeri would connect with the back of the net putting the Bobcats up 1-0.

At the end of the half, the Bobcats would have just 3 shots on goal and Wheeling would have 2, as the Bobcats take the slight advantage heading into the second half. 

In the 76th minute of play Wheeling's Andre Da Silva would draw a yellow card resulting in another penalty kick for the Bobcats Luca Falconeri. Falconeri would be 2 for 2 on the night in penalty kicks as he puts the Bobcats up 2-0 with less than 15 minutes remaining in the contest. 

The Bobcats would be able to hold off the Cardinals as they would put up 10 shots in the second half, as the Bobcats would only have 4. 

The Bobcats would go on to win 2-0, as they remain perfect in conference play (2-0). The West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Soccer team will be back in action this Sunday at the University of Charleston for a conference game beginning at 7:30pm.
