Charleston,WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Soccer team would take on the Golden Eagles of Charleston at 7:30pm Sunday night. Both team would come into the match with an undefeated conference record, the Bobcats would be 2-0 and the Golden Eagles would be 3-0, as only one team could remain on top after today.
The Golden Eagles would have the first half advantage as they would strike first on the 20th minute on a penalty kick to make it 1-0 UC.
UC would then get another opportunity in the 40th minute right before the half on another penalty kick. The Golden Eagles would capitalize and make it a 2-0 game going into the half.
The Bobcats offense would struggle the entire first half as they couldn't put a shot on goal due to the Golden Eagles defense.
After the half, the Golden Eagles would strike one more time to make it 3-0 as the Bobcats would need to find some life in order to consider a comeback. The Bobcats would put a couple shots on goal but nothing that could find the back of the net as the Golden Eagles would go on to win 3-0.
The Bobcats will be back in action this Wednesday as they take on Concord University at 4:00pm, come out and support your Bobcats!
