Buckhannon, WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan College Men's Soccer team would take on the West Liberty Hilltoppers for a Conference game this Sunday night. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 4-2 overall record and a 3-1 conference record. The Hilltoppers come into today's match with an 0-6 overall record and an 0-5 conference record.
The Bobcats would get out to an early lead as
Timothy Barney would strike one past the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of play. The Bobcats would take the 1-0 lead and momentum early on.Â
The game would go into the halftime with a 1-0 score, the Bobcats would have 6 shots opposed to the Hilltoppers who wouldn't have any as they would struggle to maintain possession.Â
In the second half the Hilltoppers would get something going, Daniel Roviera would sneak one past the Bobcat goalkeeper to tie the game in the 66th minute of play. The game would remain 1-1 as both teams would put up a few shots, but nothing would get past the goalkeepers.Â
The game would proceed into two overtimes as both teams had many chances to score but would fail to capitalize.Â

The Bobcats and Hilltoppers would end in a tie 1-1. The Bobcats will be back in action this Thursday night against Davis & Elkins College starting at 7:00pm. Come out and support your Bobcats!
