CANTON, Ohio – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's and women's swimming teams competed in the second day of the Great Midwest Conference & Mountain East Conference Championships on Thursday (Feb. 17) at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio.

Alienor Dalle finished second-highest among MEC swimmers in the 100 Yard Fly with a time of 59.88. Dalle won MEC Second Team honors for her performance.

Morgan Choffin (4:53.90)
Hannah Cook (4:56.90) and
Amanda Schlor (4:59.26) all competed in the 400 Yard Individual Medley. In the 200 Yard Free,
Alayna Crane touched the wall in 2:01.90.

The 400 Yard Medley Relay team of Schlor,
Jennifer Williams,
Morgan Bennet and Choffin finished their race in 4:20.26 in the finals.

On the men's side, senior
Marc Bennett received MEC Honorable Mention as he finished third-highest in the 400 Yard Individual Medley with a clip of 4:18.31. Jake Bohland completed the 200 Yard Free in 1:49.53. The 400 Yard Medley Relay team of Nick Gerosa, Bennett,
Stephen Groves and Bohland finished the race in 3:45.76.

At the end of the second day, the women's team is in eighth position with a score of 204.5. The men's team accumulated 132 points and is in eighth place.

The Bobcats return to the pool on Friday (Feb. 19) as the action continues at the third day of competition at the GMAC/MEC Championships.
