Deiker Padrino Named to All-MEC Honorable Mention

The Mountain East Conference released its selection of All-Conference winners, Tuesday. Among them, West Virginia Wesleyan's Deiker Padrino was selected All-MEC Honorable Mention.

As a transfer from Felician University where he had a career average of less than five points per game, Padrino turned it around while playing for the Bobcats. He ended his season with an average of nearly 17 points per game (sixth in the MEC) and shot nearly 45 percent for the season from three-point range, a Division II top-15 statistic.

The MEC postseason awards and all-conference teams are selected following a vote of the league's head coaches.
