Schaffner Breaks Wesleyan Scoring Record in Win Over Franciscan

Box Score BUCKHANNON - Scoring her 146th goal, Senior Midfielder Natalie Schaffner sets a new Bobcat record for Career Goals. The Bobcats took down Franciscan University with a final score of 16-2 and a complete shut out in the second half.

Hannah Antonellli led the team scoring 4 goals. Both Schaffner and Duvall were able to tally 3. The team had a combine 9 assists: Lubic-2, Kennedy-2 and Schaffner-1, Antonelli-1, Duvall-1, Penwell-1 and  Sisson -1. Freshman Goalie, Gabrielle Cleaveland, had 11 saves this game.

Head Coach Hannah Lively commented on their win stating, "Our team has such great chemistry on the turf. Everyone plays a crucial part in putting points on the scoreboard." 

The team increases their overall record to 5-4-1 and will return to the field on Sunday at Shepherd for a 1pm start.
