CHARLESTON, W.Va.-- The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team held No. 1 Charleston scoreless during the first 45 minutes, but the Golden Eagle attack was too much for the Bobcats in the second half. WVWC eventually fell to Charleston 3-0 in the semifinal round of the Mountain East Conference tournament.

In the first 45 minutes, WVWC was outshot 3-1, but a couple of critical saves by
Sahil Dhunnookchand kept the score deadlocked at zero going into the half.

Charleston proved why they are the No. 1 ranked team in the country in the second half, tallying three goals.

Gabriel Rodriguez opened up the scoring just six minutes into the second half. Alexis Ledoux sent in a cross from outside the box. The cross fell right to Rodriguez's head and placed it over the head of Dhunnookchand into the bottom left corner.

Adam Burchell extended the Golden Eagle lead 10 minutes later when Eduardo Iranzo assisted Burchell when he placed the ball into the top left corner.

UC closed out the scoring in the 81st minute on an Alejandro Larrayoz goal.
