Men's Soccer Preview: Frostburg State

The Bobcats will play host to Frostburg State in their last home game of the season.

The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team will welcome Frostburg State to Ross Field on Sunday (April 11) for its final home game of the season at 2 p.m.

Scouting Frostburg
Frostburg State (2-4-0) enters the game on the back of a 2-0 loss at home to Davis & Elkins. Goalkeeper Parker Shugars made 9 saves from the 19 shots he faced in the defeat.

Junior midfielder Daniel Juresic leads their goal scoring charts with two.

The Frostburg State roster is made up of 21 players, 19 of which come from within the state of Maryland.

Keith Byrnes is into his 19th season as the head coach of the Frostburg State men's soccer team, boasting a 172-140-35 overall record.

Last Season vs Frostburg
Last season, West Virginia Wesleyan took all three points as they came away with a 1-0 win in Frostburg thanks to a Nika Monaselidze free kick (Oct. 9, 2019). In the reverse fixture in Buckhannon, a 6-0 rout was in store as Monaselidze (2), Javier De Ona Garcia, Sinasi Emre Deniz and Lauri Vasa all got on the scoresheet.
