The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team will play on the road at California (Pa.) this Thursday Aug. 25 in their season-opener at 7 p.m. The Bobcats are then set to host Alderson Broaddus in their home-opener on Wednesday Aug. 31. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Vulcans were picked to finish fifth in the preseason Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West poll. Cal U men's soccer team posted a 4-10-2 overall record last year and finished fourth in the divisional standings. The Vulcans return 18 players from last fall.

California (Pa.) is led by Emedin Sabic who is in his 10th season as head coach, posting a record of 46-73-14 during that span.

Last season, the Bobcats defeated California (Pa.) in WVWC's season-opener with early goals resulting in a final score of 3-1 at Culpepper Stadium.

Scouting Alderson Broaddus
The Battlers finished fifth in the MEC, just missing out on the postseason tournament. Leading the charge offensively will be last season's top goal scorer and assist man Andrea Rossak. The forward finished with seven goals and eight assists last season.

The AB men's soccer team returns under new management from Aron Bassof. Bassof enters with 19 years of head coaching experience from NCAA I, II, III, and NAIA.
