Men's Soccer Preview: Davis & Elkins & Cedarville

The Bobcats travel down the road to face nationally-ranked rival Davis & Elkins before hosting Cedarville on Saturday (Sept. 24).

The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team travels to #4 Davis & Elkins on Wednesday (Sept. 21) for a Mountain East Conference matchup scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. before hosting a non-conference matchup versus Cedarville at home on Saturday (Sept. 24).

Quick Hits
·        The Bobcats played host to Concord on Wednesday (Sept. 14) and picked up three points in a 4-3 win before playing home against West Liberty on (Sept. 18) and picking up another three points in a 5-1 victory.
·        Emre Sinasi Deniz currently sits at the top of the MEC with most goals at seven.
·        Sam Newell currently sits at the top of the MEC with most assists at five.
·        Hunter Dierlam is coming off an excellent performance with a trio of goals against Concord.

Scouting Davis & Elkins
The Senators enter this week undefeated after a 5-0 victory at Frostburg State. Davis & Elkins owns an overall record of 5-0.
Striker Cristhian Bosquez has three goals and one assist under his name, while defender Davide Materazzi also has three goals and one assist.
Dean Johnson enters his third season at the helm of the Senators men's soccer program.

Scouting Cedarville
The Yellow Jackets suffered a 0-2 defeat versus Tiffin. Cedarville played MEC rival Wheeling earlier this year and came out on top with a 2-0 victory. Cedarville begins this week with an overall record of 4-2-1.
Forward Mauricio Ochoa Vazquez leads the Yellow Jackets in points with two goals and one assist.
Brett Faro enters his ninth season at the helm for the Yellow Jackets.
