The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team starts a two-game road swing with a trip to Wheeling on Wednesday (Sept. 7) for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff before a battle versus #2 Charleston on Sunday (Sept. 11) at 4 p.m.

Scouting Wheeling
The Cardinals got their first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Alderson Broaddus making their record 1-2-0. The Cardinals also earned their first clean sheet of the season versus AB.
Junior forward Richard Afolayanka leads the offense with two goals in three starts this season and has registered a total of six shots on goal.
Head coach Brandon Regan is in his first season at the helm in Wheeling after spending eight seasons leading a Division I school, Robert Morris.
Scouting Charleston
The Golden Eagles begin the week with an overall record of 3-0-0. Charleston knocked off Notre Dame (Ohio) in their most recent game by a score of 2-0. The Golden Eagles are currency ranked #2 in the nation.
Paul Caliari has two goals while Sam Bethell, Giorgos Diakos and Felipe Mercado all have netted one goal each. The Golden Eagles are undefeated with three clean sheets this season.
Coach Daniel Smee, a West Virginia Wesleyan soccer alum, is entering his sixth season with the Golden Eagles and his third as head coach.
