Preview: Bobcats Head To Philippi For Contest With Battlers

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Lacrosse hits the road tomorrow to take on the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus at 4 p.m. in Philippi. The Battlers have won the last three matchups, including sweeping the season series last year.

LOOKING AT ALDERSON BROADDUS
The Battlers enter (0-6) overall and (0-4) in MEC play, previously losing on the road at Notre Dame (Ohio) on Friday 17-3.

Terri Nashe is the leading scorer for AB, netting 12 goals on 20 shots on goal (60%). Felicia Young is second on the team with nine goals. Nashe and Kayla Gray-Hillian are the only Battlers with an assist. In just six games, Taylor Young has 115 saves (19.7 saves per game).

Ace Mallonee is in his first season as Head Coach of the Women's program at AB. Mallonee also serves as the Head Men's Lacrosse coach, a title he has held since 2019. In total, Mallonee has been a part of the Alderson Broaddus Lacrosse staff since 2016 as he was an assistant for the men's program before taking over in 2019.

LOOKING AT WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
Wesleyan enters (0-10) overall and (0-4) in MEC play. The Bobcats fell to Davis & Elkins 16-3 at home on Saturday.

Raveena Navalgund continues to lead the offense with nine goals this season. Kaitlyn Canby and Makenzie Lewellyn are tied for second on the team in goals (7) and for the team lead in assists (2). Gabriella Gomez is up to 119 saves on the year.
